Photos from Waupaca
I recently returned home from a week-long trip to the Waupaca Chain 'O Lakes in Wisconsin. The trip involved a lot of sun, swimming, reading, and eating out and—as always—it was a lot of fun. The photo above is taken while standing on one of the boat docks at our favorite restaurant on the chain. You just pull up in your boat and you are at the restaurant! I love the varied light sources and pastel color in this image. Way to get the boat in motion--I think thats the element that really completes the image, makes it something you can scan again and again and really digest. Props. Probably one of my Petrie favorites.
that's a lovely photograph - I think the OldStyle sign sets off the sweetness of the sunset and makes the whole view more humorous and unusual. also, in case you don't check your old comments on my blog: I would love to get together in chicago! I probably won't be there till a few days after the 10th though, since I'm hanging out in madison/milwaukee first.
